Today is another meaningful day for us. Besides the lessons on academic subjects and part 2 of the pottery class, our students had a Chinese Painting lesson with Mdm Shao, a very talented Art teacher in Shimen. It was interesting to see how they painted their pictures with just a few strokes of the brushes with colours. You should see them beaming with joy upon completion of their masterpieces. :)
Yan Fei (5 Pearl)
I get along well with my buddy and she is really friendly.
Lycia Goh (5 Opal)
My buddy is pretty and friendly. I like her very much.
Liew Zhi Jun (5 Onyx)
Today is our last pottery lesson with the teacher. We had to mould a face with exaggerating features with clay. My masterpiece is a female face with tiny eyes and a really BIG mouth, wide opened.
Bae Jin Woo (5 Opal)
Today, we had to make a ‘human face’ with expressions… sad, happy, angry or mixed feelings. I mould an imaginary face, quite scary with long nose. I had great fun.
Tan Yen Meng (5 Pearl)
The clay face I made was quite awful but funny. I like some of my friends’ work as their clay faces are very funny.
Yang Zhengxue (5 Pearl)
The Chinese Painting teacher taught us how to use the paintbrush to paint pictures. We painted some fishes, tadpoles and pandas. It was very fun!
Ang Han Jie (5 Onyx)
Firstly, Mdm Shao taught us to paint fishes and tadpoles in the Chinese Painting class. Later I asked her if she could teach me how to draw a panda. She agreed and taught us that. Yippee!
Mindy Boo (5 Ruby)
I went to the school playground today. It was so fun playing there.
Nur Syarah (5 Emerald)
The Chinese painting brushes are very different from our normal brushes as theirs are pointed but ours are flat. Mdm Shao, our Chinese Painting teacher is very talented smart. Her art pieces are excellent. I want to know more about Chinese Painting. I hope I can come again. This is the best day.
