Miss Ng, those reflections and those games

3 of us have been spending our nights going through our pupils' reflections. Miss Hing especially has been burning the midnight oil to amend and type out the reflections so that we can post them on the blog. Hope her panda eyes recover when we go back next week. I think she 's going to lose weight in this trip (don't need to go to Marie france, haha!).

Guess me and Mr Ho are more sportive. We have established a very good bonding with teachers here through ball games like basketball and badminton. But i prefer to play with pupils (due to my standard, hehe...). I had a basketball game with our pupils yesterday. Wah, Glenn Tan was very swift in his action, Chang Kwan kept grabbing the ball from me...

Millions of thanks to Miss Xiao Wei. She has been of great help to us all this while in blog construction and maintainence. Really, we are lucky to have such colleague who's willing to spend time for extra work during holiday. Thanks Xiao Wei!

Participants' Journal Entries (6th June, Wednesday)

I think all our hard work and effort put into preparing for the performance paid off quite well. Generally, I would say that we enjoyed it. Hooray! The games were interesting. My cute little P4, nine-year-old friend was there too. We have arranged a time for her to write an autograph for me tomorrow. Daddy, Mummy, Spottie and so on…, I will be back in four days’ time. Yippee!!!

Today, our English lesson was conducted by a new American teacher. He is more handsome than Mr Ho. We used our English textbooks for the first time. There were comics in the books. I raised my hands to read the dialogue aloud. The teacher was surprised. He praised me and said that I was very brave. I really love English class.

Today was an exciting and embarrassing day for me! There was a special performance. Luo Meng, Glenn, Brendan and I had to do a presentation on Singapore (culture, costumes, food and places of interest) to the Shimen students. Then, we sang ‘Top of the World’ and ‘Rasa Sayang’. I had to scream as the other students’ voices were not as loud. After that, Jie Sheng, Brendan, Glenn and I performed Wushu. I made a mistake when turning. It was embarrassing. That was indeed a memorable experience.

We had a special performance put up by us as well as the Shimen students today. We sang two songs, ‘Top of the World’ and ‘Rasa Sayang’. We also put up a Malay dance item. It was quite messy though but I just laughed it out. J I enjoyed the Latin Dance put up by Shimen students most.

Despite being nervous, I did wushu for the performance. It was extremely enjoyable. I wish I would experience something like that again.

I had a lesson on Chinese history and literature. I have learnt some good phrases from a Tang poem (from Tang dynasty).

Yahoo!!! The performance was over! What a relief! Even though I miss my parents, I do not wish to go back. I mean I do not want to leave my buddy here in China. I will miss her always.
